Mines Begin to Clear!

In the hours after sunset a number of people visiting the area were approached by a young man that was seeking aid. He was a representative from a mining group located near Ashford. He said that many miners had gone missing and that shipments had not been going out for larger towns such as Harrowdale.
They agreed to help and were lead to the Ashford Mining Consortium number 4 mine. They guide said that was the area people were not returning from. They began to descend in the darkness of the mine.
They were soon winding down the shaft when they were beset by large spiders nearly four feet from end to end. After dispatching numbers of them they finally reached a large central room. There a Huge Spider with strange fungus growing on its back emanating a sickening acidic cloud.
After a hard fought battle the adventured triumphed they felt a satisfaction that the miners could return to work, though the mines did go deeper.
It is reported that they did leave with some sort of grisly trophy along with their payment.

Undead Haunt the Aluant

The ghostly Specter of some long-lost soul whose name is lost to time has be roaming the halls of the Fortress Tower that has stood to defend Ashford.
Syr Solomon of the Mossport Provisioners marshaled the cold adventurers including members of ‘Mock and Barrel’, and the newly self-appointed Marquis and a member of his retinue around the fire just below the towers of the Ashford Keep.
Though the Marquis who had the key to the tower were not able to open with even with it. Though this did draw out the Specter to conflict with Syr Soloman and the Sidhe member of ‘Mock and Barrel’, Auri Songwind, fought the specter with silvered weapons. Finally defeating it, at least temporarily.
Who is this a specter of? Why does it haunt the halls? Surely this will have to be determined to properly put it to rest.

Archaeologists Mysterious Disappearances still Confounds

A number of disappearances in the woods all around Harrowdale and Ashford has prompted Mas¬ter Etanne Schreiber, City Council Scribe to have several people on dif¬ferent occasions investigate digs.
Recently there has been a large group go missing. When people investigated the latest disappearance they found a completely abandoned camp, abandoned Dig, and several large obsidian pillars that were unearthed.
During the investigating they were beset by Goblins often and also met a strange darkly dressed druid or ranger. He was quiet and observed them for a short time before talking.
He claims that the ‘city folk’ have brought some sort of corruption with them or that the land corrupting was caused by their presence. There was some speculation between the party and the man that the Shambling Mounds of vegetation.

The Archaeologists Guild has made a number of discoveries in the ruins of Old Asheton including a sealed tunnel and a previously unknown chamber beneath Asheford Keep.
The stone wall has been breached but there is an Alchemical barrier preventing further entry or observation of the interior.
The Archaeologists Guild is willing to pay adventurers willing to gain entry and investigate the purpose and contents of this previously unknown room in the Keep.

Brigands have returned!

The City Council of Harrowdale has discovered the Old Brokers Guild has been taken over by what are believed to be a band of brigands. The disappearance of the Brokers Guild is believed to have led to the Guild House being left vulnerable.
The Brigands have reinforced the building with stone walls and are believed to have trapped it as well. Their numbers are unknown as is the makeup of their force. They have been in a standoff with the City Guard who are unable to breach the compound.

The Order of The Alaunt

Order of The Alaunt was founded by Sir Hilmar Durant but was killed in a jousting accident a year before the “Bloody Narrows” leaving his right hand and popular leader and former Hedge-Knight; Sir Haralt Rogar Wingaard to lead the Order in the coming revolt. The Order of the Alaunt was the largest Order including Hobilar Knights, Medium Cavalry Knights, and Knight-Marines.
Sir Haralt had been a many time champion of tournaments and was beloved by his brothers and Peers. Sir Haralt was one of the deadliest warriors in the “Bloody Narrows” bringing down a dozen of the Empires greatest Knights and a hundred of its elite soldiers before being slain.
The Order of the Alaunt was decimated on the front lines of the battle but a dozen of its Knights held out until the day was won and were the Knights to bring down the banners of the Empire and captured the Five Iron-Generals when they attempted to flee to their ships.
Sir Haralt’s body was torn apart by heavy gun volleys and his remains were interred somewhere in the City of Harrow. Knights of every Order escorted his remains back to Harrow.
The Order of the Alaunt are mostly Hobilar-Knights riding into battle as lancers but dismounting after the enemy is engaged and fighting as Heavy foot Knights supported by medium cavalry and mounted gunners. They are known among their peers as being the most loyal and steadfast of all the Orders fighting to the very end never leaving their comrades sides in life or death.

The City Council of Harrowdale also wishes to thank the intrepid heroes who helped rid the Keep of the undead spirit inhabiting it, saving the garrison in the process. Minor signs of haunting continue however and Lord Harrow has asked that those familiar with the Keep and Undead return at their convenience to investigate and put to rest these issues. Sir Stephan Aubrey or Captain Colm Wainwright can assist with any further necessary information.
